Wanting to make your business card stand out, let us introduce our raised UV services. POV Solution was one of the first providers of UV raised services in the Midwest. Our textured UV complimented with our Karess soft-touch laminate make a lasting impression. Use the raised UV to help make your logo stand out or help illustrate your services by creating a smooth raised effect. Check out our UV services page for information on raised UV and how it works.
All of our prices are based on your spot UV to cover up to 30% of the sheet size. We operate our machine at 50 microns that will create a .05 millimeter thickness. Our Karess laminate has a smooth soft-touch feel to it, almost like velvet. We feel that the laminate enhances the raised UV. Raised UV is not the same to spot UV. Spot UV has no thickness or raised characteristics.
How to place an order

Step 2: Download our template, insert your content and imagery, and create your card.
Step 3: Choose how many business cards you need and submit your order.
Step 4: Ask for assistance if you need it. (See below.)
Design steps you should know about raised UV business cards
Design step 1: Your artwork should be built in 4 color CMYK, images at 300 DPI.
Design step 2: Make sure you have at least 1/8" (0.125") around all edges for bleeds - ink that goes beyond the edge.
Design step 3: We recommend that you don't go below 8 points and avoid printing fine lines or small text.
Design step 4: Your UV layer needs to be set up as a 5th color and for best results a vector-based image.
Design step 5: Please make sure that you include crop marks with your artwork.
Design step 6: We do recommend to avoid running your raised UV off the edge of the sheet.

Once we receive your order, we’ll look at your files to make sure that they’re ready for production. If we see any possible issues with your file or production schedule, our office will reach out to you.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to receive my order?
Depending on the quantity you order, plan for 5-10 business days from the time we get the sign-off proof until the time we are ready to either dropship back to you or place items in the mail for distribution. We try to be flexible and do our best to meet the preferred schedules of our customers. Just know that because of the multi-step manufacturing process, a project can only go so fast.
How do you handle the proofing process?
We encourage you to build in enough time to review your project carefully. We prefer that you see a proof of your project so that we can confirm you’re satisfied—and that your item is truly ready for print.
