Geauga Business Magazine

Keeping Geauga County Connected

The Geauga Business Magazine fills an information void for local business owners, managers, entrepreneurs, and organizations in Geauga County. The Geauga Business Magazine was founded by POV Solution in 2003.  Recently, POV joined efforts and is now co-producing the Geauga Business Magazine with Ten10 Design.   POV & Ten10 Design are both committed to helping the Geauga County business community by producing a business-to-business magazine designed to help promote our local businesses and non-profit organizations.

Geauga Business Magazine Educational Scholarship Program

POV Solution and Ten10 have combined forces to start an Educational Scholarship. This combined effort is being funded with the help of the Primary Sponsors of the Geauga Business Magazine. This year we have teamed up with The Geauga Growth Partnership and will be picking two individuals from their Incubator Youth Program. Each student who is interested in participating in the Scholarship is being asked to submit an essay that outlines their summer experience and the goals that they wish to obtain throughout their experience. The finalist will be judged on their essay and the actual growth they have demonstrated during the program. The finalist will be awarded at the 2022 Home Grown Event that will be hosted this year at Sapphire Creek Winery on August 4th, 2022.

Previously known as the Geauga Growth Partnership Summer Internship Program, the redesigned Incubator program aims to connect youth, families, schools, and businesses together in support of the youth’s pursuit of purpose in the workplace. Youth develop new skills and competencies that increase employability regardless of their educational and career pursuits post-high school graduation, and engaging them in the communities in which they live in such a way that shows viability for life and work in the future. All youth who participate in the 2022 Incubator Program will be part of a cohort of 15-18-year-olds. GGP will coordinate Incubator Onboarding, and workshops throughout the summer for the cohort, and provide supervision/connection to the companies. The Geauga Growth Partnership Youth Workforce Incubator Program will serve as an opportunity for all youth, to develop key employability and social skills needed to succeed in the workplace and in the future.

Winter 2022 | Issue 3

Welcome to the next generation of talent! In this issue we showcased the Geauga Growth Partnership “Youth Incubator Program”. That story then took us into a great conversation with the ESC of the Western Reserve. We then turned our attention to Marsh Valley, Honest Scales, Willow Wash. Flowers by Emily and a visit at the Ohman Family Living Center in Middlefield. To round out the issue, we spent time with Rescue Village and learning about behavioral health programs that are being provided by Ravenwood Health. We hope you enjoy your time with us!
